After School Program

Our licensed After School Program provides a safe, vibrant space where children can truly unwind and explore their creativity in a fun, social setting. We intentionally host our program off school site because we believe children benefit immensely from a fresh change of environment at the end of the day. Leaving the school building helps kids mentally transition into “afternoon mode” giving them a distinct sense of freedom and a clean slate to play.

Our off-site hub brings together children from multiple local schools, giving your child the unique opportunity to expand their social circle, practice valuable social skills, and build wonderful new friendships with peers across our broader community!

Daily activities include:

  • Water play
  • Dancing
  • Arts
  • Games
  • Crafts
  • Climbing dome
  • Mud kitchens

This program is primarily held outdoors. Our Learning-Through-Play philosophy is implemented in this program with a child-led learning process.

Our teachers will have a variety of activities to choose from such as Art, Games and Sports. With our location in the heart of downtown Parksville, we go on many spontaneous walking trips to local shops, the beach, and Adventure Playground

Ages:

Kindergarten – Grade 6. Up to 12 kids with 2 teachers. 

Hours:

3:00pm – 5:00pm

Pick up:

For Oceanside and Springwood Elementary children, pick up from the bus stop at Library is available. Children must have a valid bus to the Library which can be purchased through SD 69. Alternatively, parents can drop children off directly to 120 Middleton Ave in Parksville.

Has your child seen a Paediatrician, Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, or Physical Therapist?
Has your child received a diagnosis? ex: ASD, PDA, ADHD etc
Please provide as much details as possible so we can ensure we can best meet the needs of your child while in our programs.
